Abram Vandeberg

March 15, 1869 - December 1, 1951

Abram Vandeberg was early settler of York Township who came to Clark County from Fond du Lac County.  The 1870 Federal Census for Fond du Lac County shows an Abram Vandeberg (1) living in Alto Township as a son to Chris Vandeberg.  Abram Vandeberg married the former Lois Lawrence, a daughter of Horace A. and Edna (nee Smithers) Lawrence, both of whom were pioneers of York Township.  Abram was brother to John Vandeberg, another earlier settler of York.  John Vandeberg married Lois’ half-sister, Lillian Lawrence.  Two of Abram and Lois Vandeberg’s sons, Irvin and Lawrence Vandeberg, are also buried in York Center Cemetery.[cemeteries/footer_gif.html]
