Eidsvold
School district was founded in 1877 as school district No. 1 in the
township of Thorp. It was originally a log structure and the first
teacher was Miss Anna Jerad. The oldest pupil ever to attend the school
was 23 years of age. Other teaches included Ida Markowski and Ruth
Thilke who taught when there were just four in the graduating class with
the motto: "Duty Before Pleasure!" |
