First Generation

1. Louis1 Rossmann, son of Ludwig Rossmann and LOuisa Catharina Ebling, was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany September 1849. Louis is deceased. Evidently died before 1930. Wife, Emma living with son Carlisle in WA in 1930.

He married Emma Lange in Cook Co., Illinois, June 23, 1872.

1880 Census (Index info only) Greenwood, Eaton Township, Clark Co, WI

1900 Census Woodbury Co, Sioux City, Iowa, 1st Ward 109 Perry Street; #335,

Edna b. July 1875 WI 24YO; collecter

Herbert b. Nov 1880 WI 19YO; bookkeeper

Carlisle b. Feb 1891 WI 9YO; at school.

1920 soundex - not found in Iowa.

Louis Rossmann and Emma Lange had the following children:

2 i. Arthur2 Rossmann was born in Clark Co., Wis. February 1873. Arthur died August 1879 in Greenwood, Wis., at 6 years of age, in an accident.

3 ii. Edna Rossmann was born in Clark Co., Wis. July 1875. Most likely born in Clark Co.

+ 4 iii. Herbert Rossmann was born November 1880.

5 iv. Carlisle Rossmann was born in Clark Co., Wis. February 1891.

He married Opul Rossmann. 1920 census - Skagit, Co WA Burlington

 

Second Generation

 

Herbert2 Rossmann (Louis1) was born in Clark Co., Wis. November 1880.

He married Hilda Rossmann. 1930 census, living inVillage of Linden, Genessee Co.,

Herbert Rossmann and Hilda Rossmann had the following child:

6 i. Eva A.3 Rossmann was born in Michigan 1917.
