1915-16 Greenwood High School Basketball Team

Although the basket ball prospects did no seem very bright at first of the year, we were successful in rounding out a pretty fast team. Only one of last year's players remained, that being Alton. We were strengthened a good deal by the addition of Colby. There were a number of candidates who tried out. Those chosen were: Colby, Alton, Nelson, Behrens, Cronin, Hogland and Loos. Leach and Stabnow received positions in the earlier part of the season but did not succeed in holding them.
Undoubtedly the greatest factor, in turning out our winning team was our coach, Mr. Knipfel, who deserves much praise and credit.
