Hofman, Albert (22 May 1904 – 27 Feb 1976)

Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, 1976 for Albert Hofman, age 71, Route 1, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the 1:30 p.m. rites held at the First United Church of Christ, Colby. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Hargraves, Vernon Hargraves, Robert Hargraves, Marvin Hargraves, Clements Hargraves, Reno Jehn and Edwin Stauske.

Mr. Hofman died Friday, February 27, 1976 at the Colonial House of Colby.

He was born May 22, 1904 in Schmollen, Germany. He married Wilma Hargraves on October 15, 1934 in Athens.

Mr. Hofman was a cheesemaker at Glen Flora and Dorchester before farming in the Colby area.

Survivors, besides his widow, include two sons, Karl, Route 1, Colby, Robert, Grafton; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Faye) Grasee, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Frederick (Helen) Appleyard, Plainfield; five grandchildren; three step-brothers, Frank, Edward and Fred Tischendorf, all of Dorchester; two step-sisters, Mrs. Maril Ellis, Iowa, and Mrs. Ida Goodwin, California.
