Wickersham, Leona (6 July 1903 - 21 November 1981)
Mrs. Leona Wickersham, 78, 3100 Washington Rd., Kenosha, formerly of Marshfield,
died early Sunday at Kenosha Memorial Hospital.
Services will Tuesday at the Hansen Funeral Home, with the Walter E. Schultheiss,
associate pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Yolo
Cemetery at Chili.
The former Leona Bealer was born July 6, 1903 in Chili to Mr. and Mrs. Paul
(Louise) Bealer. She attended the Chili schools and lived in Chili and
Marshfield until 1974, when she moved to Kenosha to live with her children.
She was married to Louis Wickersham December 19, 1921 in Neillsville. He died in
1979.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church while residing in Marshfield.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Wickersham, Kenosha, Glen Wickersham,
Abbotsford, and John Wickersham, Chili; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Schiesl,
Kenosha, and Mrs. Joyce Deichsel, Delavan; two brothers, Oscar Bealer, Chili and
Raymond Bealer, Phoenix; a sister, Mrs. Lena Barth, Chili, 13 grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a
son and three brothers.
