Vanderhoof, Charles (18 March 1853-17 April 1931)

Veefkind, April 18---Funeral services will be held Monday in the
Spencer Methodist Episcopal Church for Charles Vanderhoof, 78, a
resident of the town of Sherman for 57 years, who died Friday at the
home of his son, Albert, in this community. The Rev. C. E. Weed of
Marshfield will officiate. (Buried in West Spencer Cemetery, Town of Sherman)

Mr. Vanderhoof was born March 18, 1853 in New Jersey, and came to
Spencer in 1874. He was married November 27, 1879 to Miss Barbara Upson,
who survives him.

Their Children are: Albert, Jay and Ben Vanderhoof, and Mrs. Max Rue
(Eva), all of this community, and Mrs. Archie Smith (Carrie), all of
Loyal. There are 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He also leaves three brothers and three sisters--Wesley Vanderhoof,
Mrs. Ed Kayhart, and Mrs. Sarah DeGraw, all of this vicinity; Mrs. James
Neil, Duluth; Lige Vanderhoof, Priest River, Idaho, and Walter
Vanderhoof in Montana.
