Rue, Max (9 April 1881-16 January 1912)

SPENCER--Max Rue, 82, of ROute 2, Spencer, died of a heart attack at
his home Friday.

Funeral services will be held Monday at the Methodist Church and
burial will follow at West Spencer cemetery. The Rev. R. J. Hagen will
officiate.

The body will lie in state at the Jasperson Funeral Home until Monday
when it will be taken to the church.

Mr. Rue was born April 9, 1881 in Richland County. He came to Spencer
and settled with his parents on a farm near there in 1900. He recieved
his education in Spencer and on January 16, 1912, married Eva Vanderhoof
at Neillsville. They moved to the farm which Mr. Rue presently occupied.

Mr. Rue had been a member of the town board of Sherman for 35 years
and of the school board for ten years.

He is survived by one son, Howard, at home and several nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1953, one son, two
sisters, and three brothers.
