Two retiring teacher from the Abbotsford public school were honored at a banquet
Wednesday evening, May 27, 1970.
The two teachers, Mrs. Mary Ellen Blazer and Mrs. Ann T. Gosbee, have a total of
57 1/2 years of teaching, 18 of them in the Abbotsford school district.
Mrs. Blazer was a teacher for 27 1/2 years, with the past 10 at Abbotsford. She
was the second grade teacher this past year.
Mrs. Gosbee has completed 30 years of teaching, with the past eight in the
Abbotsford district. Her current assignment was as the junior high school
language arts instructor.
The banquet in honor of the two women was sponsored by the Abbotsford Education
Association, and was held at the Chelsea Conservation Club north of Medford.
Each was presented with engraved serving trays by the Education Association in a
brief ceremony, with Jerry Fehlen, association president, making the
presentation.
District Administration, George Hightdudis, also presented each of the retiring
teachers with an engraved tray on behalf of the board of education.
