Johnson, Mabel Amanda (27 August 1887-30 November 1979)

GREENWOOD--Services were this morning at Our Savior's Lutheran Church
for Mrs. Olaf A. (Mabel) Johnson, 92. The Rev. Sam Kochel officiated and
burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson died Friday afternoon at Victory Memorial Hospital in
Stanley.

The former Mabel Hendrickson was born August 27, 1887 in Greenwood to
Michael and Mathilda Hendrickson. She attended rural Greenwood schools.

She and Olaf A. Anderson (typo - should be Johnson) were married at her parents home on
July 25, 1906. They lived in Greenwood for one year and then moved to
Deer Park, Washington, to farm until 1916 when they returned to
Greenwood to farm in the town of Warner. They moved to the city of
Greenwood in 1946.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson observed their golden wedding aaniversary in
1956. He died November 9, 1996.

A member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. Mrs.
Johnson is survived by a son, Lawrence of Greenwood; four daughters,
Mrs. Harold (Mae) Harding of Wausau, Mrs. Peter (Jane) Nichols of
Chicago, Mrs. Vern (Verna) Parish of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Mrs.
James (Dorothy) Webb of San Francisco; 14 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A brother, Alfred of Anatone, Washington, and two sisters, Mrs.
Lilian Konrath of Chicago and Mrs. Ollie Johnson of Alabama, also
survive.

Two sons, Orville and Leslie, two brothers and two sisters are
deceased.

Robert, Tom and Joseph Harding, Jeff Parish, Carl Smith and Danny
Dohm served as Pallbearers with Mrs. Lil Warner providing organ
accompaniment to Mrs. Donna Olson and Mrs, Eleanor Johnson, vocalists.

Funeral services were held December 3 from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Vocalists were Donna Olson and Eleanor Johnson with Mrs. Don Warner as organist. The Rev. Sam Kochel officiated, and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert, Tom and Joseph Harding, Jeff Parish, Carl Smith and Danny Bohm.
