Zeiset, John F. (1 APR1944 - 27 FEB 2019)

John F. Zeiset, age 74 years 10 months and 27 days.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. at Meadow Brook Mennonite Church in the Town of Withee. Final resting place will be at the adjoining cemetery.

Officiating ministry will be Elvin Fox, Marvin Leid, John David Zimmerman and Alvin Leid.

Pallbearers will be Klifford Zeiset, Kelvin Zeiset, Glenn David Zeiset, Jay Lamar Zeiset, Mervin Lynn Zeiset and Arlin Shirk. Visitation for John will be on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at his son’s residence (N14352 Gorman Avenue) Thorp, WI.

John was born in New Holland, PA on April 1, 1944 the son of Martin and Emma (Fox) Zeiset. He died on February 27, 2019 in Thorp, WI, following a few years with Parkinson’s disease. John married Emma W. Stauffer on November 10, 1966 in Pennsylvania. They moved to Wisconsin in April 1976 and then he was ordained to the ministry in June, 1976.

John is survived by his wife, Emma W. Zeiset, 3 sons: Elvin (Annetta) Zeiset of Clarksburg, MO., Marlin (Linda) Zeiset of Thorp, WI and John Zeiset Jr. of Thorp, WI and one daughter: Mary Grace (Laverne) Shirk of Thorp, WI and 24 living grandchildren. He is further survived by five brothers: Henry (Martha) Zeiset of Thorp, WI, Noah (Elizabeth) Zeiset of Stanley, WI, Martin (Erma) Zeiset of Thorp, WI, Amos (Ruth) Zeiset of Narvon, PA and Leroy (Louella) Zeiset of Greenwood, WI, eight sisters: Esther (Adam) Nolt of Withee, WI, Lizzie (Alvin) Stauffer of New Holland, PA, Emma (Joseph) Shirk of Spencer, TN, Martha (Leroy) Shirk of Dundee, NY, Mary (Alvin) Martin of Thorp, WI, Lydia (Eli James) Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Elsie (Walter) Newswanger of Platteville, WI and Eva (Leroy) Kilmer of Withee, WI.

In addition to his parents: Martin and Emma Zeiset, he is preceded in death by one grandson: Kenton Shirk and one sister-in-law: Miriam Zeiset.
