Dittner, Esther (30 April 1893-11 Mar 1989)

Esther E. Dittner, 95, formerly of Merrillan, died Saturday, March 11,
1989, in Black River Falls. She was a resident of Pine View Nursing
Home, Black River Falls for the past three years.

She was born April 30, 1893 in the town of Sherman, Clark County, to
the Chris (Christian) Engebretsons.

In 1908, she married Rudolph Dittner in Greenwood. He died in 1930.

Before going into Pine View Home, she lived in Merrillan for 30 years
and earlier in Spencer area.

Survivors include a son, Rudolph, Jr. of Hixton; two daughters, Anna
Dahl of Spencer, and Bertha Rhoades of Merrillan; a brother Melvin
Engebretson of Owen; a sister, Elda Schwartzrock of Montana; 10
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son.

Services will be Tuesday in Jensen Funeral Home, Hixton. The Rev.
Ethan Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal,
Wisconsin.
