Schwarzrock, Elda (20 November 1904-12 November 1992)


ABBOTSFORD--Services for Elda Caroline Schwarzrock, 87, Colby, who died
Thursday at Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Colby,
Will be tonight at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

The Rev. Richard Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Withee.

She was born November 20, 1904 in Greenwood, to the late Kris and
Karen Engelbretson. She and her first husband, Paul E. Rossow, farmed in
the Greenwood area, and he later died. She then moved to Montana and was
married to Leo Schwarzrock.

She and her second husband operated a cattle and wheat ranch in
Plentywood, Montana, and he also later died. She had resided at the
Nursing Center for the last years.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood before she
moved to Montana.

Survivors include one adopted son, David Schwarzrock of Plentywood;
four daughters, Audrey Przybylski of Colby, Mrs. Warren (Gladys) Smith
of Chili, Mrs. Gilbert (Karen) Weiss of Helena, Montana, and Phyliss
Schmick of Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.

She also was predeceased by two sons, Donald Rossow in 1943 and Paul
E. Rossow, Jr. in 1981.
