Lena Molle (15 Aug 1916 - 2 May 2004)

Lena Barbara Molle, 87, Abbotsford, died Sunday, May 2 at St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford, with Robert Ruprich officiating. Burial will be in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons Gary and Dale Rachu; Les, Joe, Steve and Tom Kauth

The former Lena Awe was born August 15, 1916, in the Town of Green Grove, Clark County, to the late Henry and Rose (Brecker) Awe.

Her marriage to Albert Molle, who preceded her in death July 12, 1976, took place September 25, 1935. They farmed in the Town of Green Grove and later owned and operated the North Side Tavern for two years. They then farmed in the Town of Unity until 1963. They owned and operated Molle's Tap in Medford. They moved to Abbotsford in 1973, and she worked at Meadow Farms restaurant and later at the Continental Manor Nursing Home.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers and fishing.

Survivors include three daughters: Darlene (Glenn) Rachu and Linda Molle, both of Abbotsford; and Cairgene (Leroy) Kauth of Spencer; three sisters: Alvina Laabs of Abbotsford; Alma Harper of Placerville, Calif.; and Ruth (Alfred) Molle of Withee; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Elliot Kaiser.
