Acker, Bryan E. (26 SEP 1960 – 22 JAN 2019)
Bryan E. Acker, 58, Neillsville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 4, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, with Rev. Carl Bauchspiess officiating. Burial will be held in the Greenwood City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Bryan Eugene Acker was born on Sept. 26, 1960, in Marshfield, to Richard and Virginia (nee Franz) Acker. He was raised on the family farm, and graduated from Loyal High School in 1978. After high school, Bryan worked at Greenwood Milk Products for a few years before working for Ron Lindgren in Withee. He later worked in Stratford before taking a job with Abby Vans in July 1990, where he worked as a mechanic until his death. He was a member of the Neillsville Rod & Gun Club and had many interests, but especially loved playing pool, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Bryan is survived by one son: Travis Acker of Neillsville; one brother: David (Pat) Acker of Loyal; one nephew: Jeff Acker of Greenwood, and Jeff’s children: Amber, Janelle, Blake and Montana; five step-daughters: Kayla Schmitt of Marshfield, Kim (Jeff) Mohr of Eau Claire, Brooke (Dale) Lawcewicz of Thorp, Shawna (Jon) Stoiber of Spencer, and Heather Schmitt of Loyal; 14 step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
