Jean M. Densmore, age 91 of Neillsville, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Riverside Assisted Living in Neillsville.

She was born on April 13, 1927 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, to Harman and Eris (Cox) Yeske. She met Roland A. Densmore while he was working on the neighbor’s farm. They married on April 23, 1947 at the Methodist Church in La Crosse. Together, they enjoyed 71 wonderful years of marriage.

Jean was a peaceful, gentle, kind loving spirit woman. She loved her flower gardens; she was an excellent cook and housekeeper and enjoyed canning.

Roland and Jean were dairy farmers that she had lots of pride doing. Jean was excellent at raising calf’s, enjoyed plowing with the Ford 864 tractor and disking and bailing hay with the 670 Minneapolis tractor. She was very proud of her clean milk house, receiving a certificate from the state inspector for cleanliness.

Jean is survived by her husband Roland; nieces Joy and Bonnie; nephew Jerry and close friends Dennis and Karen.

Preceding her in death are her parents and sisters Beth and Geneva.

There will be no services; burial will take place at a later time in the Hilltop Cemetery in Wilton Township.
