Cizek, Adolph E. (27 APR 1892 – 9 JUN 1973)

Adolph E. Cizek of 137 N. 14th Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away at his home Saturday, June 9, 1973. Death was due to complications of old age. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, in the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Cizek was born April 27, 1892 in Germany and has resided in Colorado Spring since 1965. Before his retirement he had farmed in the Withee area (Clark Co., Wis.) for 45 years.

He was married June 14, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, and would have celebrated his 66th wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 14, 1973.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose C. Cizek, Colorado Springs; four sons, Earl of Chicago, Ray of Madison, The Rev. C.J. Cizek of Forestville, Wisconsin, and Norm of Woodland Park, Colorado; five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Trumbo, Trenton, Michigan, Mr. Sylvia Rex, Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Lorraine Persons, Colorado Spring, Mrs. Inez Dixon, Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. June Sherman, Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter and son preceded him in death, and also three brothers and a sister.
