Potter, Edward (4 DEC 1922 – AUG 1974)

Edward Potter, 51, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died of an apparent heart attack at 5 p.m., while haying on the Edward Rueth farm in the Town of Sherman.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The Rev. Chester Osowski officiated.

Pallbearers were David McKenna, Eddie, Thomas, and Robert Rueth, , John Beaver, and Verland Schmidt. Full military rites were conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post #175. A prayer service was held at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

Edward Potter, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Potter, was born in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) on December 4, 1922. He served in the Army for three years, from October 1942 to 1945. He worked for the Shober Construction Company for a number of years, and also for various other construction companies. The last two summer he worked for the Loyal Canning Company.

He was a veteran of World War II>

Edward Potter is survived by three brothers, John, California, Ray, Wisconsin Rapids, and Robert, R.2, Spencer, and one sister, Mrs. Alois (Mary Jane) Van Ert, Wisconsin Rapids.
