Architects from HSR Associates presented three drawings Monday, and it took
about three seconds for the Medford Area School District’s building committee
and others to agree on one of them as the preferred plan for a proposed
fieldhouse and pool project at the high school
Called “Option F,” the preferred plan features a fieldhouse that includes four
courts that over the width of the now 36,155 square foot facility as well as a
main playing surface that runs lengthwise in the center of it.
The two middle courts would feature a wooden floor while the end courts would be
made of synthetic surface.
Bleacher sections that could seat 1,000 people each are planned for each side of
the main court. A smaller section for about 250 more people is drawn in along
the north wall.
