Voytovich, Beverly (Mohr) (5 SEP 1936 - 19 OCT 2018)

Beverly Voytovich, age 82, passed away from pancreatic cancer at Evergreen Terrace in Antigo, WI on Friday, October 19, 2018.

Beverly was born September 5, 1936 in the Town of Ruby, Cornell WI, the daughter of Forrest and Elfreda (Rufledt) Mohr. She received her education at the Chippewa County rural schools of
Estella and Ruby and graduated from Cornell High School in 1954. She attended Eau Claire Teachers College and graduated in 1956 with a two year rural teacher certificate. She taught for three years at schools in Estella and Arnold and one year in Livingston, Montana.

On August 1, 1959, she married David William Voytovich. For all 59 years of their marriage, they lived, worked and raised their children on their family farm in the Town of Colburn. She was a loving mother and dedicated farm wife where she gardened, canned, baked and cooked for all family events. She also enjoyed milking cows, driving tractor for fieldwork and harvesting, and with the help of the children and many friends and neighbors, kept the farm operating during often challenging times. Her unselfish capacity for helping others with her encouragement, support and empathy was her greatest gift.

She was active in the church and community organizations and served for 20 years as Clerk for the Town of Colburn. She enjoyed doing bookwork, solving puzzles, reading, oil painting, sewing, making quilts and especially sharing farm life with family where a good meal and plenty of laughter was always a memory to be cherished.

She is survived by children, Michael (Shannon) Voytovich and their children Alex, Peter and Sophie of Mahtomedi, MN, Karen Voytovich and her children Andrea (Kim Hanson), Allison (Aaron) O’Keefe and David Janney of St. Michael, MN, Gary (Sarah) Voytovich and their children, Natasha, Nadia, Nicole, David, Oksana, and Kseniya of Antigo WI, Barbara Voytovich of New Brighton, MN, her great grandsons, Nolan and Levi, sisters Eva Henning and Colleen Kaufman and brother Clinton Mohr and their families.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband David and her brother Richard Mohr.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at St. John’s Orthodox Church at Huron, WI with Father Steven Voytovich and Father Herman Klarr co-officiating with burial following the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, at Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, October 24 one hour prior to the service at the church.
