Rueth, Diane (5 JUL 1969)

Marriage vows were exchanged at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, between Miss Diane Rueth, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ruth, route 1, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Kenneth Courtney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Courtney, route 1, Colby, on July 5, 1969. The 12:30 p.m. nuptial mass was said by the Rev. Norbert King. The children's choir sang and Michael Tuckee was organist.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared in an entrained floor length gown of silk organza over taffeta, with accents of lace. Her four tier veil of silk illusion was held by a lace trim pillbox. She carried a cascade arrangement of yellow roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Attending the bride were Miss Alice Courtney, route 1, Colby, maid of honor, Miss Linda Courtney, also of route 1, Colby, and Miss Debra Rueth of route 1, Greenwood, as bridesmaids.

They were dressed alike in empire styled long sleeved gowns of yellow organza over taffeta. They wore yellow picture hats and carried wicker baskets of yellow and white daisies.

Thomas Foltz of Marshfield was the best man, and Andrew Rueth of route 1, Greenwood, and Dean Courtney of route 1, Colby, were the groomsmen.

Steven Langfeldt of Loydal and Jim Farley of Minneapolis performed the ushering duties.

Following the ceremony was a reception at the home of the bride's parents, and dinner was served at the church hall at 4:30 p.m.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Courtney are making their home in Colby, where the groom, a 1967 graduate of the Colby High School, is employed at the Packaging Corporation of America.

His bride, a 1968 graduate of the Greenwood High School, was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Facotry at Marshfield prior to her marriage.
