Wellner, Maxine (22 JUN 1912 – 4 JAN 1972)
Maxine Wellner, age 59, a resident of rural Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away
Tuesday, January 4, 1972, 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
She was born June 22, 1912 in Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller.
Prior to her marriage she was a nurse at St. John's Hospital in Springfield,
Illinois.
She was married on May 10, 1944 to Leo Wellner of Stanley. She was a member of
St. Bernard's Church.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Gloria, at home; two sons,
Michael and Charles, of rural Stanley; one brother, Albert Miller; and three
sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bandhowski, Mrs. Agnes Mueller, and Mrs. Dolores Pfeiffer,
all of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Clarine.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 7, 1972 at St. Bernard's Catholic
Church, Thorp, with Father Francis Brockman officiating. Burial was held at St.
Joseph's Cemetery, Boyd.
Pallbearers were Ted Meyer, Laurence Michelson, Al Gruba, Tony Luzinski, Earl
Meyer, and Clarence Backhaus. Thorp Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements. Lunch was served by the ladies of St. Bernard's Church.
