Schultz, Toni Ann (27 NOV 1971)

St. Hedwig's Church, Thorp, was the setting Saturday afternoon, November 27, 1971, for the wedding of Toni Ann Schultz and larry Edward Luzinski. Reverend John Puerner heard the exchange of vows at the Nuptial Mass between the daughter of Mrs. Anthony Schultz, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late Anthony Schultz, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Luzinski, Lublin. Gabrielle Reyzer and Robin Huls sang "Joy is Like the Rain" and "What a Great Think It is." Miss Huls also played the organ. The offertory was carried up to the altar by the bride's godparents, Karmena and Ray Kosla. Ushers were Silvan Durben and Raymond Luzinski.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Vincent Mullenbach, chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace fashioned with a mandarin neckline, bishop sleeves and lace ruffle tiers encircled the front panel of the storybook skirt sweeping into a chapel train. Red and white roses were fashioned into the bridal bouquet and arrangements of blue carnations were carried by the bridal attendants, Misses Linda Schultz, Thorp, the bride's sister, maid of honor, Jane Luzinski, Lublin, the groom's sister, and Ardis Schmidt, Thorp, friend and the bride and groom. They donned floor length gowns of blue chiffon and royal blue velvet with bands of smocking accenting the bishop sleeves and empire bodices. Harmonizing veils secured to petal clusters completed their ensembles.

Attending the groom were Don Rudnick, best man, Dave Zakrzewicz, both of Thorp, and Dave Hunt, Stanley, all friends of the bride and groom.

The wedding dinner was served to about 300 guests at the Thorp American Legion Hall, which was also the scene of the reception and dance. Mrs. Joe Kryzanski was the hostess for the meal. The wedding cake, which was made by the groom's aunt, Mrs. Ed Engel, was cut and served by Miss Julie Burkhardt and Mrs. Jean L'Heureux. The guests book was in charge of Miss Pat Engel. Guests came from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota.

The groom, a 1969 graduate of Gilman High School, is serving with the U.S. Army, and is now stationed in Germany for an 18 month tour of duty. His wife, who graduated from Thorp High School in 1968, is employed by ITT Thorp Corporation. She will join her husband in Germany after a few months.
