Wilichowski, Lucille (1 JUN 1923 - 22 JUL 2011)

Lucille Wilichowski, 88, Marathon, died Friday July 22, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.

She was born June 1, 1923 in Rib Falls, daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Corda) Wilichowski.

Lucille had been employed as a bookkeeper at Cassel Gardens Cheese Factory and later served as a housekeeper for 25 years with Father Charles Herbers in Cassel, Milladore, Boyd, Pittsville and Cooks Valley.

She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and also enjoyed going up north, fishing, playing cards, embroidery, cooking and baking.

Survivors include her siblings, Robert Wilichowski, Marathon, Margie (Albert) Buchberger, Wisconsin Rapids, Charles (Dianne) Wilichowski, Marathon and Joan Wilichowski, Marathon, nieces, nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Mildred Wilichowski.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Monday July 25, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.

The family wishes to thank all Lucille's caregivers, especially, Joan Wilichowski, Barbara Wilichowski, Jean Baumann and Dolores Lang. Through their special efforts, Lucille was able to live a fuller life in her own home.
