Underwood, Eddie Allen (17 JAN 1978 - 29 AUG 2018)

We announce the unexpected natural passing of Eddie Allen Underwood, age 40, of Dorchester, on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018.

Eddie was born Jan. 17, 1978, in Phoenix, Ariz., to the late Terry Ann (Dempski) Murphy. After moving to Green Bay, he attended Green Bay East High School, graduating in 1996. Eddie married the former Jennifer Bluel on Sept. 7, 1996, in Green Bay.

He loyally served his country in the Marines and later the Army Reserve from 1996-2013, completing multiple overseas tours in Okinawa, Germany, Kuwait and Jordan. He joined the Department of Corrections after leaving active duty, working as a corrections officer and sergeant at Green Bay and Stanley.

Eddie enjoyed learning and teaching others about history, especially the medieval period. He was recently completing the build of a working trebuchet with his friends. Eddie loved being with his pets, reading or relaxing with the TV in his free time, and making other people laugh. He was looking forward to retirement and the birth of his first grandchild. Eddie will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; and their two children, Samantha and Alexander; brother, George Dempski; sisters, Joanna Barnett, Christen Sprague and Lisa Martin; his mother-in-law, Kathie Henquinette; his beloved nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Louise (Jones) Havener.

Friends called at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, Green Bay, after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, until the time of service at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Ross Schultz presided. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
