Raeder, Susan Mary (01 JUL 1972)

Miss Susan Mary Raeder, Marshfield, became the bride Saturday of Dale Allen Simon of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Miss Raeder, daughter of Alvin D. Raeder of Marshfield, and the late Lorraine Raeder, said her vows at 2 o'clock Saturday, with the son of Mrs. Helen Simon, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late Leonard Simon.

The marriage took place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church before the Rev. Leonard G. Kaiser, assistant priest at Sacred Heart. Mrs. Helen Brinkman was organist for the service.

Given in marriage by Robert Wistrom of Mosinee, the bride was seen in a gown of silk chiffon over taffeta, with chapel train. Her mantilla veil was of open work rosepoint lace and in her bouquet were white daisy pompons, baby's breath and eight red roses with ivy to form a cascade arrangement.

White daisies with radiant blue star flowers and baby's breath were in baskets of flowers of Miss Raeder's bridal aides, Miss Corrine Simon of Milwaukee, maid of honor; Miss Sandra Froeba, Loyal, and Mrs. Patricia Menning of Dodgeville, bridesmaids.

Each wore an Edwardian gown of flocker nylon and radiant blue Georgette, and each had a headpiece of white daisies and baby's breath.

Attendants of the groom were Grant Simon of Mukwonago, best man, and William Raider, Platteville, and Cameron Simon of Brunswick, Ohio, groomsmen.

Richard Wilson, Owen, and Rhys Woller, also of Owen, shared ushering duties.

A reception for the newlyweds and their guests was held that afternoon, and a buffet supper was served at 6 o'clock, with a dance following. All took place in Msgr. Toeller Hall of Sacred Heart Parochial School.

Mrs. Simon is a 1965 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, and a 1967 graduate of Madison Business College. She has been employed by the law offices of Atty. John S. Crawford.

Her husband, a 1967 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, is employed by Wick Building Systems, Inc., Artcraft Division, Spencer.

Their honeymoon took them through the easter states, and upon their return they will reside at the Adams Valley Garden Apartments, Marshfield.
