Miller, Frank E. (11 July 1888 – 2 March 1975)

Frank E. Miller of Memorial Home, a retired Town of Pine Valley farmer, died Sunday, March 2, at the age of 86. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Interment was to be in the parish cemetery. A prayer vigil was scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the body of Mr. Miller was in state.

The son of John and Mary (Lauer) Miller, Frank Miller was born July 11, 1888, in the Whitewater area and was educated in schools there. He moved to Clark County as a young man. His marriage to the former Louise Kessler, who preceded him in death in 1956, took place November 4, 1913, in Neillsville. Mr. Miller farmed in the Town of Pine Valley for many years before retiring several years ago. He had resided in Memorial Home in recent years because of failing health.

Survivors include six children: Clarence Miller of Neillsville, William Miller of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mrs. Frank (Jeanette) Zank of Neillsville, James Miller of Newport, Mn., Francis Miller of Lindsay and Donald Miller of Evansville; four sisters: Mrs. Art (Agnes) Knutson of FT. Ransom, N.D., Mrs. Guy (Katherine) Spearbeck of St. Paul, Mn., Mrs. Russell (Alice) Shaunessy of Milwaukee and Mrs. Claire (Angeline) Smale of Neillsville; one brother, Albert Miller of Neillsville; and 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
