Branche, Katherine M. “Kay” (Plombon) (22 NOV 1964 - 25 JUN 2018)

Katherine M. Branche, age 53 of Stanley, died on Monday, June 25, 2018.

“Kay” was born on November 22, 1964 in Stanley to William and Betty (Bernklau) Plombon. She attended Stanley-Boyd area schools, graduating in 1983 and then went on to earn a duel degree in History and Political Science from UW-Eau Claire in 1989.

In 1991, Kay went to work as a Legislative Research Assistant for the Wisconsin State Legislature and then as a Legislative Assistant for Rep. Harvey Stower and Rep. Rosemary
Hinkfuss. She moved to Oregon where she worked as a food broker for Tyson Foods and other wholesalers. She then moved to Atlanta where she was a sales manager for UPS. Kay enjoyed hiking, golf, tennis, gardening and reading.

Survivors include her mother, Betty of Stanley; four siblings: Richard (Doug Freelon) Plombon of San Francisco, CA, David (Bonnie) Plombon of Chippewa Falls, WI, Diana Fox of
Atlanta, GA and Daniel (Erin) Plombon of Stanley, her niece and nephews, Beth, Chris, Mitchell, Greg and Henry Plombon; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father, “Bill.”

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 3:30 PM at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, at the
funeral home, from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
