Mrotek, A. Pat (15 MAR 1940 – 21 JUN 2018)

Cadott - A. Pat Mrotek 78 of Cadott, WI. passed away on June 21, 2018 from stomach cancer.

Pat was born in Loyal, WI to Alex and May (Stevens) Mrotek on March 15, 1940. He married Doreen (Aumann) on August 11, 1962. Together they raised three daughters, Michele (Jeff) Koch, Melissa (Ray) Sperber, Melinda (Jerry) Kenealy and the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren.

In his younger years he was a Golden Gloves boxing champion, a three time All-American wrestler for UW River Falls and an inductee into several wresting hall of fames. Pat, was a teacher and wrestling coach at Montello, WI and Cadott, WI as well as elementary principal at Cadott for 32 years.

Pat was a very active community member receiving numerous Lions Club awards and well as serving as District 27-E1 District Governor and also a Lions Foundation Director. Pat was an inaugural inductee into the Cadott High School Wall of Honor.

Throughout his life he was very involved in everything for kids and helping others. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up and participate in their events.

Pat is survived by his wife Doreen of 55 years, three daughters, two brothers and their spouses, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and May Mrotek, father and mother-in-law, Henry Sr. & Agnes Aumann, brother Duane, sister Joyce Major, in addition to many in-laws and four nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 24th 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 415 N. Maple St. Cadott, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 25th with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with burial following at Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cadott Elementary School, Cadott Wrestling Club, Cadott Lions, Wisconsin Lions Camp and/or Mayo Hospice.
