Dickinson, Darlene (11 SEP 1971)

United Church of Christ in Owen was the setting of a lovely wedding on Saturday, September 11, 1971 of Miss Darlene Dickinson and Michael Schott of Wausau. Miss Dickinson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Dickinson, Route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and was given in marriage by her father to Michael Schott, son of Mrs. Shirley Schott and the late Norman Schott of Wausau.

A white A-line gown with mutton leg sleeves and a picture hat were worn by the bride. She carried an arrangement of white roses and asters. In the wedding party was her twin sister, Mrs. Robin Taylor, as matron of honor, who wore a light green A-line gown. She carried a bouquet similar to the bride's. Mr. Bruce Gates was groomsman. After the church service a reception was held in the church parlors for relatives and friends of the couple.

Those coming from away were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Dickinson and son of Bousman, Mrs. Robin Taylor and twin daughters of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Eldore Wagoner of Poysippe, Mrs. Bruce Gates of Wausau, Mrs. Shirley Schott and family of Wausau, Mrs. Tracy and Mrs. Schott of Wausau, grandmothers of the groom, and relatives from the local area.

The couple is living in Wausau, where the bride is employed at Wausau Employers Mutual Insurance Co. The groom, who was recently honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, is a student at a Wausau University.
