James R. Berrett has been named Vice-President and General Manager of Honeywell, Inc. newly formed Process Control Division, Phoenix. This separate division with the company's industrial products group will support their expanded computer operations and will be composed of a newly acquired segment of General Electric Company in Phoenix, Arizona, which manufactures computerized control systems for industrial processes, the Minneapolis base Corporate Program of Honeywell, and the Digital Systems venture in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.


James has been Director of Engineering for the Industrial Division at Fort Washington since July 1972, and for two eyars before that was Director of Digital Systems for the division. In these positions, he participated in many of the significant advances in digital technology made by the company. Prior to joing the Industrial Division, he was a Manager of Building Automation Engineering in the Commercial Division at the time when the Delta 20000 system was developed.

He came to Honeywell in 1962 following graduation from the University of Wisconsin. He started as an associate development engineer in Ordnance Operations in Duarte, California, and later served as a systems engineer in the Special Systems Division in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and as a senior systems engineer with the Computer Controls Division in Framingham, Massachusetts.

James is a 1958 graduate of Greenwood High School. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verland Berrett, live on Route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
