Farnsworth, Darwyn (31 MAR 1940 – 21 JAN 2017)

Darwyn L. Farnsworth, age 76, Marshfield, died Saturday January 21, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday January 27, 2017 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

He was born March 31, 1940 in the Town of Fremont, Clark County, to Erwin and Lelah (Stone) Farnsworth. Darwyn attended Valley View School and was a 1958 graduate of Loyal High School. After graduation he worked for Clark Electric in Greenwood. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. Darwyn worked for Weyerhaeuser for 35 years.

He was well known for umpiring many softball games and loved it. Darwyn also enjoyed bowling, watching the Brewers, Packers and traveling.

He is survived by his brother; Darryl (Patty) Farnsworth, Marshfield and nieces and nephews; Debbie (Bill) Nelles, Marshfield, Dennis (Carrie) Farnsworth, Merrillan and Dawn (Daniel) Doornhaag, Shelbyville, MI and a godson; Randall Schroeder, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his nephew; David Farnsworth and special cousin; Mary Ellen (Duane) Schroeder, who he loved traveling with to many countries.

The family would like to thank the people at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center for the excellent care he received the past eight years.
