Barnes, Katherine “Kathy” Marie (Hraban) (12 APR 1958 - 25 APR 2018)

Katherine “Kathy” Marie Barnes, 60, of Rice Lake, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake.

Kathy was born on April 12, 1958, in Ladysmith, to Raymond and Shirley (Stoker) Hraban. She graduated in 1976 from Ladysmith High School, where she was a great athlete, played in the band and performed well academically. She married to Randy Barnes on June 3, 1978 in Ladysmith.

She worked for Hardee’s and Amsco in Rice Lake. She enjoyed playing softball, listening to music, shopping for sale items and being with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda (Logan) Brunclik of Rice Lake and Serena (Jacob) Mueller of Muscoda; her grandchildren, Zachary, Rhea, Kolten and Izzy; her mother, Shirley Hraban of Ladysmith; her sisters, Linda Wester of Ladysmith, Sue Scanlan-Miller of Lancaster, Barb Hastings of Fennimore, Betty Hraban of Tennessee and Polly Hraban of Ladysmith; her brothers, Allen Hraban and David Hraban and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Hraban.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
