Anding, Duane Charles (30 October 1928 – 1 May 2018)

Duane Anding, age 89, of Granton, WI died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Ministry Home Care House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Duane Charles Anding was born on October 30, 1928 in the township of Lynn, Clark County, the son of Charles and Lydia (Yankee) Anding. He was baptized on December 3, 1933 and confirmed on April 18, 1943 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Duane graduated from Granton High School and then attended UW-River Falls. He was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Dux on April 29, 1950 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. They farmed in the town of Lynn on the family farm for many years. Duane was awarded a “Farmer of the Year” award and received a “First Place” medal from the State of Wisconsin for his maple syrup. After retiring from farming, they moved to their present address on Granton Road. In retirement, Duane did custom combining and also worked for Cenex delivering fertilizer.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Missouri Synod Church in Granton, served on the town of Lynn Town Board, was a town chairman and an assessor for the town of Lynn. He also belonged to the Happy Trails Snowmobile Club and the Southern Clark County Sportsman’s Club.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, three children, Mark (Yvonne) Anding of Granton, Beth (Leroy) Ludovic of Neillsville and Anna (Kevin) Engevold of Granton, nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a nephew, Terry Terman of Eau Claire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Arnold and a sister, Erma Terman.

A Memorial Service for Duane will be held at a later date.
