Verhulst, Linda Jean (23 JUN 1973)

Miss Linda Jean Verhulst, Box 301, Centuria, Wisconsin, and Monte Wayne Haugland, Somerset, Wis., were married Saturday, June 23, 1973, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood.

The Rev. David Wenger and Rev. Harold Verhulst, uncle of the bride, performed the rite. Mrs. Don Warner was organist and Mrs. Don Haugland and Doug Ely were soloists.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst, Rt. 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Haugland, Shell Lake, Wisconsin.

The bride chose a gown of where organza with high waistline, long full sleeves, A-line skirt, and detachable chapel length train. She carried daisies and orange roses.

Miss Verhulst was attended by Miss Judi Verhulst, Waverly, Iowa, as maid of honor, and Miss Arlene Verhulst, La Crosse, and Miss Ruth Ackeret, Medford, as bridesmaids. Their gowns were empire waited with bodices of tangerine and white daisies over orange satin. The skirt had sheer organza over orange satin. They carried baskets of white daisies.

Janice Verhulst was flower girl.

Don Haugland, Minneapolis, was best man, and Larry Johnson, Shell Lake, Wis., and Mark Kessler, St. Croix Falls, Wis., were groomsmen.

Ushers were Keith Haugland, Minneapolis, and Arvin Verhulst, Loyal.

A dinner was held in the church hall, and a reception at the home of the bride's home.

Mrs. Haugland, a 1968 graduate of Loyal High School, and a 1972 graduate of UW, River Falls. Is a 4th grade elementary teacher at Centuria, Wis.. Her husband is a 1963 graduate of McHenry, N.D. High School, served in the U.S. Army, Vietnam, and is a student at UW, River Falls, majoring in Engineering.

The newlyweds will live at RFD, Box 58D, Somerset, Wis.
