Smith, Lloyd H. (27 September 1890 – 3 January 1975)

Funeral services were held for Lloyd H. Smith, 84, of Mukwonago, who died January 3 in Neillsville at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chester Turville, were held Monday evening at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home and Tuesday afternoon from the Church of Christ in Sheldon. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sheldon. The Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiated at the services here, and the Rev. Mike Drake officiated at services in Sheldon.

Mr. Smith, son of John A. and Melvina E. (Bullard) Smith, was born September 27, 1890, at Lenox, Ia., and was educated in Iowa Schools. He moved to Sheldon in 1920 and farmed there until 1944, then moved to Granton where he also farmed. Mr. Smith retired from farming in 1954 and moved to Marshfield where he worked for the Roddis Company until his retirement in 1963 when he moved to Mukwonago. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Sheldon.

His marriage to the former Audrey Abbitt took place in 1916. She preceded Mr. Smith in death in 1964. In May of 1965 he was married to the former Grace Perso, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Chester (Helena) Turville, Neillsville, and Mrs. Arthur (Eunice) Anderson, Tucson, Az.; and six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
