Westberg, Stanley K. “Stan” (2 MAR 1938 - 5 APR 2018)

Stanley K. “Stan” Westberg, 80, of Brantwood, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 5, 2018.

Per Stan’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held.

Stan was born March 2, 1938 in the town of Hill to Kermit and Florence (Nelson) Westberg. He was a graduate from Prentice High School. He married Janet Barko on May 26, 1959 in Hinsdale, Ill. They celebrated 59 years of marriage together.

He enjoyed going on casino trips, working his Christmas tree farm, spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, reading and all things outdoors.

Stan served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a welder for Prentice Hydraulics, and was a foreman for Prentice Franklin and Marquip, and drove semi for Roehl Transportation. He retired from Marquip. He was also the owner and operator of Westberg Tree Farm in Brantwood.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is further survived by his children, Terry (Kelly) Westberg of Brantwood, Tamee (Steve) Westberg of Ogema, Jon (Theresa) Westberg of Prentice, Jill (Brian) Westberg of Gresham; grandchildren Erik, Josh, Sammy Jo, Nick, Tanner, Megan, Andrew; great-granddaughter, Hayden; siblings, Betty (Bill) Saari of Prentice, Gary (Karen) Westberg, Marcia (Lonnie) Carlson all of Ogema; sister-in-law, Carol Salzman of Wausau; his beloved cat, Tweet and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Westberg.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
