Brady, Geraldine “Gerrie” E. (Pierce) (27 JUN 1939 - 23 MAR 2018)

Geraldine “Gerrie” E. Brady, 78, of Chetek, Wis., peacefully passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care of Chetek.

She was born June 27, 1939, in Cornell, Wis., the daughter of Mildred (Cartwright) and George Pierce. Gerrie married Leonard Brady on Sept. 15, 1957, at New Scandinavia Church in Maple Grove Township.

Together they raised four children and worked their dairy farm, Triangle Corners, for many years in Chetek. After they sold the farm, she was employed as lead supervisor at Wright Products and Ben Franklin, and owned/operated The Main Place craft store in Chetek. She was a member of Chetek Lutheran Church, and enjoyed crafts and quilting. She was the 4-H leader of the Prairie Lake Eagles and a Cub Scout leader, and was known for her infamous baked beans.

Gerrie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard; children Dixie (Mike) Conoboy, of Weyerhaeuser, Brian (LuAnn) Brady, of Chetek, and Roman (Veronica Gettler) Brady; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and siblings Linda Langman, of Chetek, David (Nicole) Langman, of Scottsville, Ky., Dale (Robin) Langman, of New Boston, Mo., and Darlene (Richard) Kraft, of Rice Lake. She will be sadly missed by her dog, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her son, James M. Brady; father George Pierce; stepmother Frances Pierce; mother Mildred Langman; stepfather Arthur Langman; and great-great-grandson Alexander Derousseau.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at Chetek Lutheran Church with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date. Please join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship following the service at the church hall.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
