Storm, Lorraine V. (17 July 1937 – 21 March 2018)

Lorraine V. Storm, age 80, of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. She was born in Neillsville, WI on July 17, 1937, the daughter of the late William and Clara (Durst) Meihak.

She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church-Pine Valley in Neillsville. Lorraine attended local schools and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1955. On June 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Wendell Storm in Neillsville. She was employed in the office at J.C. Penny in Neillsville and Wausau from 1954 to 1959. Lorraine and Wendell then decided to relocate to Sheboygan. She was a stay at home mother and took great pride in raising her son Brian. Once her son was old enough, she returned to work. Lorraine attended Lakeshore Technical College, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Accounting. She worked as an administrative assistant in the employee benefits and trust departments at US Bank in Sheboygan, retiring on July 31, 1997.

She was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she was involved in the church choir, altar guild and the quilters. Lorraine was also a member of the Sheboygan County Quilting Club. She enjoyed ceramics, counted cross stitch and crocheting. Lorraine loved the Green Bay Packers and was a stock holder as well. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii, Florida, Arizona and California. Lorraine also liked spending time at their cottage in Door County.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell, of Sheboygan; a son, Brian (Christine) Storm, of St. Peters, MO; grandchildren, Lorilei (Brian) Gleeson of Dublin, Ireland and Kathryn (Matt) Cooper, of Fargo ND; great-grandchildren, Elianna, and Adelaide Cooper, and her brother, Roger (Lois) Meihak, of Forest Lake, MN. She is further survived, by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Bill Buchsteiner, a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harold Rockwood, and her two nephews, Dennis and Gary Buchsteiner.

A funeral service for Lorraine will be held on Monday, March 26th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1614 S. 23rd St. Sheboygan, WI with Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Family and friends may gather at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan on Sunday afternoon, March 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 am to 10:45 a.m. Entombment will take place in the Garden Terrace Mausoleum at the Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and may be directed to Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
