Reimann, Elmer J. (18 JUL 1929 - 7 MAR 2018)

Elmer J. Reimann, 88, of the Town of Little Black, passed away Wednesday March 7, 2018 at his home, under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

Elmer was born July 18, 1929 in Chelsea, WI to Gustave and Alma (Sachse) Reimann. He attended Whittlesey Grade School and Medford High School. He married Carol M. Faber on June 25, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. Carol Survives.

He is further survived by his Children: Ryan (Darlene) Reimann, Jayne (Jim) Sauer, Allyn (Sarah) Reimann all of Medford, Grandchildren: Tara (Brian) Abel, Tori Sauer, Marcus Reimann, Mason Reimann, Step Grandchildren: Lynda (Ken) Scolaro, James (Kim) Shereck, 6 Step Grand Grandchildren and 1 Step Great Great Grandchild, Siblings: Ray, Marilyn, Evelyn Reimann, of Medford, Neil (Delores) Reimann of Westboro, Juliana Reimann of Madison; sisters in law, Leta Reimann of Oak Creek and Dorothy Reimann of Milwaukee.

Elmer is preceded in death by his Parents, and Siblings: Leslie, Lillian, Vernon and Franklin Reimann, and an infant brother Gustave.

From 1948 – 1950 Elmer worked on the Alaskan Railroad and also logging and lumber mills in Alaska. He served in US Army in the Korean War from 1951 – 1953. He hauled milk and did carpentry work. He worked for Sturdy Kraft, Medford Fur Food and K&B Refrigeration. Elmer and Carol owned their own dairy farm in the Town of Browning for 48 years. Elmer enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Following his retirement, he Hobby Farmed in the Town of Little Black. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday March 17, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. Pastor James Krueger will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in the town of Goodrich at a later date.

Memorial donations in honor of Elmer can be given to his family, for designation at a later date.
