The wedding of Miss Beth Ann Volk to Mr. George Hamm Jr. of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) took place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, by the Rev. James Harte on Saturday, July 25, 1970 at one o'clock in the afternoon. Music was rendered by the Sacred Heart Church Choir.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Roy Volk of rural Owen, and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hamm Sr. of rural Owen.

When given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a crocheted lace bodice and sleeves. The detachable train was edged with crocheted lace. The veil was attached to a headpiece crown of seed pearls and lace netting. Her bridal bouquet was of white mums and stephanotis.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Karla Bacon of Owen, and bridesmaids were Miss Jane Volk, Linda Volk, and Jacalyn Borgeson. They were attired in matching apricot colored gowns fashioned with empire waists and they carried tinted carnation nose gays. Their headpiece was a crown of daisy wreaths.

Attending the groom as best man was Martin Ryona of Withee, and groomsmen were David Gosse, Jerry Nowak, and John Volk.

Roger Hargot of Owen and Walt Kuenne of Milwaukee were the ushers.

Following the wedding a wedding reception was held at the church, and dinner and dance were held that night at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

The bride is a 1970 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and the groom a 1965 graduate of the Medford Public School. He farms in rural Owen.

Following the wedding trip to South Dakota, the newlyweds will make their home in rural Owen.
