The 1940 class of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) High School held a banquet and dance
at the Meadowview Country Club in Owen on July 4, 1970 for their 30th
anniversary of their graduation. Twenty-five people attended.
Tables were decorated with pink roses, our class flower. Otto Bytof acted as
master of ceremonies. He read the class prophecy and had a question session on
nicknames of classmates. Each class member then gave an account of what happed
to them…(missing section from the newspaper account)… the most children (9) and
the youngest (9 months) of members present. He also came the farthest distance –
Thornton, Ill. A three piece band furnished our dance music.

Sylvia Frost, Bloomington, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Del Andryszyk, Mary Mertens,
Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pacholke, Audrey Haire, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Anderson, Thornton, Ill; Mrs. Nelda Lange, Nelda Nourse, Marshfield; Mr.
and Mrs. George Sorenson, Withee; Mrs. Cecil Tormey, Aleda Free, Withee; Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Looker, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. William Catura, Phyllis Mertens, Owen; Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Frankowski, Brown Deer, Wis.
