Struble, Barbara L. (29 August 1942 – 18 February 2018)

Barbara L. Struble, 75, of Black River Falls and formerly of Neillsville, passed away quietly with family at her side Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point.

She was born in Beloit to Lawrence (Chuck) and Alice (Moen) Struble Aug. 29, 1942. She attended Neillsville Public Schools. Barbara married Devere E. Krejci, Jan. 11, 1958. They were divorced in 2005.

Barbara worked at Memorial Medical Center as a nursing assistant and later at Neillsville Public Schools with special needs children. She moved to Black River Falls, where she worked at Family Heritage Care Center and at Riverfront Inc. Her passion for helping others was reflected in a career of working with those who were disabled and disadvantaged.

Barbara was known for her sense of humor and enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, live music and spending time with family and friends. She was a lover of animals, especially Spanky, her beloved Pekingese.

Barbara is survived, by four children: Scott Krejci and wife Debbie (Indiana), Pamela Radcliffe (Minneapolis), Kevin Krejci and wife Cindy of Medford and Ron and Krejci and wife Mandy of Neillsville; one brother Dean Struble and wife Carla of Amherst; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence (Chuck) Struble and Alice Struble (Linderman); and infant son DeWayne Krejci.

Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life service and interment at the Neillsville City Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
