Sellung, Dale L. (7 NOV 1933 - 30 AUG 2002)

Dale L. Sellung, 68, 5515 Cherry Street, Weston died Friday, August 30, 2002 at home.

Dale was born November 7, 1933, son of the late Lawrence and Deborah (Garske) Sellung. He married Vera A. Ross of Gibbon, Nebraska, on March 30, 1968 in Schofield. She survives.

Dale graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1951. He was drafted into the U.S Army for two years as a Personnel Specialist at Fort Dix, N.J.

Dale worked for the L.C.L. Transit Co. of Green Bay from 1954 to 1960 as a Semi Driver in Wausau and Madison. He transferred with the company to Milwaukee as Terminal Manager from 1960 to 1966. Returning to Wausau in 1966, he was employed as a Semi Driver for Consolidated Freightways Menlo Park, California. He retired May 12, 1991.

Dale enjoyed automobiles, racing, water skiing, and landscaping. He was extremely proud of his miniature truck collection consisting of 151 tractor-trailer units.

Besides his wife Vera, he is survived by, one daughter Robin (Roger) Fisher, Kearney, NE; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Mary Beth and Donald; one brother, Gene Sellung, Wausau; one sister, Judith Penzak, Columbus, Ohio; eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James W.J. Sellung.

Memorial services and interment will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2002 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
