Lee, Winnie (O’Donnell) (24 SEP 1938 - 30 OCT 2017)
Winnie Lee, 79, of Ladysmith, died on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at Ladysmith Care & Rehab after battling Myelodisplatic Anemia for several years.
Winnie was born on Sept. 24, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Robert and Cora O’Donnell of Forest City, Iowa.
She came to Rusk County in 1959. She also lived four years in Minneapolis, Minn.
She married David Lee in Forest City, Iowa on Sept. 2, 1961.
She was a member of Partners of Rusk County Memorial Hospital for 41 years, and the group’s president for 25 of those years.
Winnie was a teacher and librarian at the Flambeau School District. She also taught classes at Mount Senario College.
She was a member of Congregational UCC Church in Ladysmith.
Winnie is survived by her husband, David; her daughters, Jacquie (Dale) Eberhardt of Ladysmith and Cathy (Tim) Morris of Eau Claire; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marguerite Kirchner of Albert Lea, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Roberta Lenertz.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 at UCC Church in Ladysmith with Rev. David Bowles officiating.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.
