Nawrocki, Sophie (Losiewicz) (16 APR 1923 - 21 NOV 2017)

Sophie Nawrocki, 94 of Boyd, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls.

She was born on April 16, 1923 in Lublin the daughter of the late Anton and Helen (Kijek) Losiewicz. On May 15, 1946 she was united in marriage to Andrew Nawrocki at All Saints Cathedral in Chicago, IL.

The couple farmed south of Thorp for 5 years and then farmed by Edson for 14 years before moving into Boyd. She worked numerous jobs over the years including selling Avon, doing the census, clerking at the Big B Grocery Store and at Ron’s IGA.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Alan) Romanowski of Eau Claire, Raymond Nawrocki of Boyd, Susan (Robert) Simmons of Carrollton, TX, a daughter in law, Sharon Nawrocki of Cadott, her grandchildren, Jeremy Nawrocki, Brock Nawrocki, Anthony Romanowski, Todd (Marisa) Romanowski, Adam Nawrocki, Becky Nawrocki, Daryl Nawrocki, Josh Nawrocki,
Nichole (Clay) Hanna and Gabrielle (Jake) Rumble, and 7 great grandchildren.

Sophie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew (2003), a son, Eugene, an infant grandson, Christopher Romanowski and her siblings, Sophie Losiewicz, Jennie Grendzinski, Frances Nawrocki, Wanda Fortek, Joseph, Steve and Felix Losiewicz.

A funeral Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church-Boyd with Deacon Ned Willkom officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley and Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until departure to the church.
