Noah, Arthur (1 May 1900 – 24 August 1974)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Georgas Funeral Home for Arthur Noah, 74, of Rt. 2 Granton, who died August 24 as the result of a fall from the dam at Sherwood Lake. Mr. Noah suffered massive head injuries.

Officiating at the 2 p.m. service was the Rev. E. T. Keller, Pittsville. Interment was in the Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery, Greenwood.

Mr. Noah the son of Simon and Matilda Pagenkopf Noah, was born May 1, 1900, at Loyal and was educated there. His marriage to the former Anna Saule took place June 12, 1933, at Willard. Mrs. Noak died on June 4, 1952.

Mr. Noah farmed in Clark County and worked for the Plautz Brothers Construction company for many years. He retired in 1965, and lived with his daughter, Dorothy, and her family until the time of his death. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sherwood.

Surviving are eight children: Mrs. Arnold (Dorothy) Huth, Jr., of Rt. 2 Granton, Ronald Noah of Neillsville, Mrs. Mary Jane Minsaas of Spencer, James Noah of Loyal, Richard Noah of Greenwood, Mrs. Gerald (Sandra) Egstad of Granton, Allen Noah of Greenwood, and Arthur Noah, Jr., of Willard; one sister, Mrs. Everett Nelson of Gardena, Ca.; three brothers: Alvin Noah of Minneapolis, Mn., Rudolph Noah of Milwaukee, and William Noah of Oshkosh; and 12 grandchildren.
