Miller, Helen (Kaseno) (29 JUN 1918 - 21 OCT 2017)

Helen Miller, 99, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Aspirus Care & Rehab, Medford where she had resided for the past 7 years.

The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 28 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 215 S. Washington Ave., Medford, with Father David Neuschwander officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Mellen Union Cemetery, Mellen, WI at a later date.

Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford from 10 AM until time of funeral mass at 11 AM on Saturday, October 28.

Helen was born on June 29, 1918 at Mellen, WI. She attended Mellen area elementary schools. On June 27, 1936, at Pence, WI, she was married to Carl Peter Miller. He preceded her in death in 1999.

After her education, she worked as a housekeeper in the Mellen area. Following her marriage, she resided in Pence, WI and worked at the Pence Post Office for a period of time. For most of her life, she was a housewife & mother. She moved to Medford, WI in 2010 to be near family. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking, baking, polka music and she adored little children. Helen was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford and was a past member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Pence, WI.

She is survived by her children, Sabina (Tom) Strama of Medford, Dick (Marilyn) Miller of Medford and Glen (Pat) Miller of Hurley, WI; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren.

Helen is also survived by siblings Verona (Earl “Smudge”) Swetkovich of Pence, WI and Alice Tafelski of Mellen, WI.

She is predeceased by her husband Carl, parents George and Anna (Turney) Kaseno, and siblings Ann Miller, Pauline Reinerio, Rose Neubauer, Marie Calligaro, Mike, John and Mary Kaseno.
