Langreck, Dorothy (12 OCT 1924 – 18 SEP 2017)

(Cemetery listing shows a lot for Dorothy Bagwell, so I listed her as that in the Neillsville City Cemetery)

Dorothy (Bagwell) Langreck of Neillsville passed away on September 18, 2017, at the age of 92 at the House of Dove in Marshfield, WI. She was a resident of the Neillsville Retirement Community since 2013.

Dorothy was born to Carl and Florence Spaete on October 12, 1924 in the Town of Washburn. She attended Neillsville schools. Dorothy married Donald Phillips in Florida and had one daughter, Dorothy Ann, and later divorced. Dorothy moved to Chicago and was married to Willy Bagwell for several years until his death. Dorothy lived and worked in Chicago where she was employed at various jobs and later retired after 30 plus years making bus fare coin boxes at General Farebox, Inc. In 1988 she moved back to Neillsville to be closer to her family, and at the age of 65 got a driver's license for the first time. Dorothy met Harold Langreck several years after moving to Neillsville and they were married in April of 2002.

Dorothy is survived by her granddaughter, Kellie Murphy (Neil Czarnecki), grandsons Kevin (Judy) Zickert and Ryan Murphy, all of Neillsville; 3 great-grandchildren, Karsen, Krue and Bekkah; a sister, Ruth (Donald) Meihak of Neillsville; a brother, Lawrence (Caroline) Spaete of Belvidere, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husbands Willy Bagwell and Harold Langreck; her daughter, Dorothy Resong; her parents; and a brother, Robert Spaete.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville with Pastor Douglas Bjerke officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will follow in the City of Neillsville Cemetery.
