Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Evan James McCabe and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Milford Gilbert, all of Minneapolis.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white nylon organza trimmed with venise lace and fashioned with an attached chapel train. A full-length veil and colonial arrangement of blue and white silk flowers completed her ensemble.

Honor attendant Cynthia Buechele, and bridesmaid Karen Gilbert were attired in pastel green and blue gowns, respectively, and carried colonial bouquets of yellow and white silk flowers.

Aunts of the groom, Sharon Gilbert and Debbie Gilbert of Stevens Point, played the piano and sang. Selections included “The Lord’s Prayer,” “We’ve only Just Begun,” and “Wedding March.”

The newlyweds are both 1973 graduates of Minneapolis vocational high school, and he also had a year post-high school training. They are employed in Minneapolis, where they are living.
